Belaynesh went from eating raw meat in Africa to dining at a Cracker Barrel Restaurant in America, all within a year! This magical transformation—from an impoverished orphan to a well-nourished member of a large, loving family—resulted from global adoption and relocation. But there was another critical element at play: God’s divine intervention. He provided not only a loving family, but also knowledgeable interpreters, caring teachers and a devoted church family who nurtured her to physical, emotional and yes, spiritual health.

She put in a ton of hard work, too, as she survived the culture shock, learned the English language and eventually succeeded in school. Today as a young adult, Bella, as she is now called, is making big plans and giving back in big ways thanks to EverBless scholarships.
