Fund education. Fuel the future.

The cost of higher education continues to rise, as does the number of Virginia Baptist students seeking financial support. These deserving students, our future, need your help today.

How does a scholarship work?

An EverBless scholarship alleviates some of the financial strain on students, as well as their families, by paying a portion of tuition costs at colleges, universities and seminaries. Tuition support also enables students to focus on critical coursework, not budget shortfalls.

Who is eligible?

Scholarships are annually awarded to students with a minimum 3.0 grade-point average who are members of a Baptist General Association of Virginia (BGAV) church.

What is the application and award process?

Students apply online and provide an academic transcript, financial need report, essay and faith testimony. A committee of EverBless trustees and staff selects award recipients based on these criteria. Since the scholarships are awarded annually, students are encouraged to apply each year.

How can you help?

You can provide scholarships for Virginia Baptist students in three ways:

  • Establish an endowed scholarship at EverBless with a $50,000 minimum contribution, which can be made over a designated time period, such as $10,000 contributed annually over five years. The gift will be invested so that scholarships are awarded in perpetuity.

  • Create an endowed scholarship through a will or trust. A $50,000 planned gift establishes an ongoing fund that provides scholarship awards in perpetuity.

  • Set up a donor-advised fund and recommend the EverBless scholarship fund as a beneficiary.

  • When establishing the scholarship, the donor may specify the academic institution, geographic area, level of study (undergraduate, graduate, seminary) and area of study.

Who selects recipients?

The EverBless scholarship committee, working diligently on your behalf, will review applications and match student applicants with pre-determined criteria.

Benefits

  • Support of next-generation Christians

  • Endorsement for higher education

  • Impact for perpetuity
